Rhine Valley Line Scenic Train
The Rhine Valley Line offers a laid-back cruise through the German wine country. Visit the charming towns Koblenz and Mainz and enjoy the relaxing scenery of riverside vineyards.

The West Rhine railway pulls out of charming Mainz and glides into the charm and charisma of the wine producing region. It meanders along the west bank of the River Rhine, showcasing the calm water and vineyard-laden slopes of the valleys it passes through. Just a few tunnels interrupt the view until you reach Koblenz, where the Moselle River meets the Rhine.

Highlights are the fortress of Ehrenbreitstein in Koblenz, the castles of Marksburg, Stahleck, Katz and Maus or the Pfalz castle on an island in the river bed. There are many other places worth a visit too. Cities like Bacharach, St. Goar or Rüdesheim are completing the unique picture of this beautiful landscape.
